The Tourist Visa (TR) is issued through the Thai e-Visa system before travel and normally grants a stay of up to 60 days on arrival. Many visitors then need one 30-day extension at a local immigration office to complete their trip, house-hunting or family visit.
Officers increasingly look at patterns of back-to-back tourist entries. If your real purpose is longer residence, work or study, we will tell you plainly and point you to the category that fits, rather than stacking tourist stays that can lead to refusal at the border.

Why are applications refused, and how do we prepare?
| Common refusal reason | How we prepare |
|---|---|
| Signs of intended work or repeated back-to-back stays | We advise whether a long-stay visa is the better route. |
Counsel's note
A tourist entry cannot be used to start work, even unpaid. If you plan to job-hunt, we map the switch to a Non-B visa before you sign anything.
