The DTV was introduced in mid-2024 to attract remote professionals and participants in Thai 'soft power' activities. It is valid for five years and permits stays of up to 180 days per entry, extendable once at an immigration office for a further 180 days.
Applications are lodged through the Thai e-Visa system to a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate abroad. Officers have wide latitude to request additional evidence, and outcomes differ noticeably between posts — selecting the right post and presenting coherent financial and activity evidence is where most of our work lies.
What we handle
- Eligibility review: remote work for a non-Thai employer, freelance contracts, or soft-power enrolment (Muay Thai, Thai cuisine, medical treatment, seminars).
- Bank-statement and financial-proof structuring that matches the issuing post's current practice.
- Portfolio and employment evidence preparation for digital nomads and freelancers.
- Guidance on enrolment letters from Thai Muay Thai camps, cooking schools and hospitals.
- Dependant applications for spouse and children under 20.

Why are applications refused, and how do we prepare?
| Common refusal reason | How we prepare |
|---|---|
| Bank statement too short or balance dropped before filing | We check the statement period and balance against the issuing post's current practice. |
| Thin evidence of remote work or soft-power activity | We assemble contracts, invoices, portfolios or enrolment letters into one consistent story. |
Counsel's note
The DTV does not authorise work for Thai clients or employers. Remote work for overseas entities is the intended use; any Thai-sourced income requires a separate work permit analysis.
