Foreign spouses of Thai nationals may obtain a Non-Immigrant O visa and extend it annually on the basis of marriage. Dependants of foreigners holding Non-B or other qualifying visas follow a parallel family route.
Immigration officers assess the genuineness of the relationship. Expect home-visit photographs, interviews and witness statements; preparation reduces delays considerably.

Why are applications refused, and how do we prepare?
| Common refusal reason | How we prepare |
|---|---|
| Marriage not registered in Thailand or foreign certificate not legalised | We handle registration and legalisation (apostille from 28 February 2027 where applicable). |
| Insufficient proof of genuine relationship | We prepare photos, house registration and supporting statements. |
Counsel's note
A marriage registered abroad must be recorded at the Thai district office (Kor Ror 22) before it can support a Thai marriage-based extension in most offices.
