A foreign parent of a Thai child, or a foreign child of a Thai parent, may qualify for a Non-Immigrant 'O' visa and annual extensions of stay to care for or be supported by the family. This is distinct from the marriage route and has its own evidence standard focused on the parent–child relationship and financial support.
Officers look closely at birth registration, the Thai household registration (tabien baan) and proof that the family genuinely lives together. Where parents are separated, custody documents become central and we prepare them before filing.
