Thai visas & work permits for Dutch citizens
Dutch citizens can enter Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism from 15 September 2026. The retirement visa, marriage visa, DTV and LTR are the main long-stay routes. Dutch AOW and pension income is often used as financial evidence; documents move to apostille from 28 February 2027.

Can Dutch citizens enter Thailand without a visa?
30-day visa exemption (tourism)
From 15 September 2026 the 60-day scheme was revoked; this passport is on the 30-day tourism list. Visa-exempt entries over land are limited to twice per calendar year. Work, study and long stays need the proper visa.

Do documents from Netherlands need an apostille or legalisation?
the Netherlands is a party to the Apostille Convention. Thailand acceded on 30 June 2026 and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027; until then documents from the Netherlands still need Thai embassy legalisation, and from that date an apostille is expected to suffice.
