Thai visas & work permits for Belgian citizens
Belgian citizens can visit Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism from 15 September 2026. Belgians mostly use the retirement visa, the marriage visa or a Non-B with a work permit. Belgium is an Apostille Convention party, so documents move to apostille from 28 February 2027.

Do documents from Belgium need an apostille or legalisation?
Belgium is a party to the Apostille Convention. Thailand acceded on 30 June 2026 and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027; until then documents from Belgium still need Thai embassy legalisation, and from that date an apostille is expected to suffice.
