Thai visas & work permits for Finnish citizens
Finnish citizens can visit Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism from 15 September 2026. Finns often winter in Thailand on the retirement visa or the DTV, and families use the marriage or dependant visa. Finland is an Apostille Convention party.

Can Finnish citizens enter Thailand without a visa?
30-day visa exemption (tourism)
From 15 September 2026 the 60-day scheme was revoked; this passport is on the 30-day tourism list. Visa-exempt entries over land are limited to twice per calendar year. Work, study and long stays need the proper visa.

Do documents from Finland need an apostille or legalisation?
Finland is a party to the Apostille Convention. Thailand acceded on 30 June 2026 and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027; until then documents from Finland still need Thai embassy legalisation, and from that date an apostille is expected to suffice.
