Thai visas & work permits for Mongolian citizens
Mongolian citizens should check the revised visa-exemption list of 15 September 2026 before travelling. Many Mongolians in Thailand study on the education visa, work on a Non-B with a work permit, or join Thai spouses on the marriage visa. Mongolia is an Apostille Convention party.

Do documents from Mongolia need an apostille or legalisation?
Mongolia is a party to the Apostille Convention. Thailand acceded on 30 June 2026 and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027; until then documents from Mongolia still need Thai embassy legalisation, and from that date an apostille is expected to suffice.
