Thai visas & work permits for Saudi citizens
Saudi citizens can visit Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism from 15 September 2026. Saudi visitors staying longer often use the DTV for medical treatment, the education visa or the LTR. Saudi Arabia joined the Apostille Convention in 2022.

Do documents from Saudi Arabia need an apostille or legalisation?
Saudi Arabia is a party to the Apostille Convention. Thailand acceded on 30 June 2026 and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027; until then documents from Saudi Arabia still need Thai embassy legalisation, and from that date an apostille is expected to suffice.
