Thai visas & work permits for Slovak citizens

Slovak citizens can visit Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism from 15 September 2026. Slovak nationals commonly use the DTV for remote work, the retirement visa or the marriage visa, and employees need a Non-B with a work permit. Slovakia is an Apostille Convention party.

Do documents from Slovakia need an apostille or legalisation?

Slovakia is a party to the Apostille Convention. Thailand acceded on 30 June 2026 and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027; until then documents from Slovakia still need Thai embassy legalisation, and from that date an apostille is expected to suffice.
