Thai visas & work permits for Ukrainian citizens

Ukrainians should check the revised visa-exemption list of 15 September 2026 before travelling. Many Ukrainians in Thailand stay through the DTV for remote work, the education visa or the marriage visa. Ukraine is an Apostille Convention party, so documents move to apostille from 28 February 2027.

Do documents from Ukraine need an apostille or legalisation?

Ukraine is a party to the Apostille Convention. Thailand acceded on 30 June 2026 and the Convention enters into force for Thailand on 28 February 2027; until then documents from Ukraine still need Thai embassy legalisation, and from that date an apostille is expected to suffice.
