The Non-Immigrant EX classification is intended for qualifying expert or specialist assignments. Seniority, professional experience or an overseas consultancy contract does not alone establish eligibility: the assignment, Thai host and any required authority certification must support the category.
Many technical specialists instead use Non-B, BOI-supported, SMART or LTR arrangements. We compare the actual duties and sponsoring framework so that a specialist title is not mistaken for a universal alternative to ordinary employment requirements.
What we handle
- Assess the specialist role against available categories.
- Review qualifications and evidence of relevant expertise.
- Confirm host support and required endorsements.
- Coordinate immigration and work-authorisation planning.
How the process works
Step 1
Role analysis
Define duties, assignment duration and the Thai beneficiary.
Step 2
Route confirmation
Check EX availability and requirements with the competent authority.
Step 3
Evidence filing
Prepare credentials, host records and assignment documentation.
Step 4
Compliance
Check permission to perform the duties and review later changes.

Why are applications refused, and how do we prepare?
| Common refusal reason | How we prepare |
|---|---|
| Expert status is asserted without sufficient assignment support | We link qualifications and specialist experience to the Thai host's documented project. |
| The assignment belongs under another employment framework | We compare EX with Non-B and relevant BOI-supported routes before filing. |
Counsel's note
Do not begin consulting, installation or technical supervision merely because the assignment is short. The activity's work-authorisation position must be checked separately.
